Dumblauskas/Domblauskas help finding info please?

I am trying to find information on a relative, Louis Walter Dumblauskas. I belong to ancestry.com and I did find info in the 1930 census about him. His name was spelled incorrectly as Domblauskas though. He was born in Massachusetts on 2/21/1928 and died in South Carolina on 4/6/2002 (according to some) or 4/6/2000 (according to others). I would really like marriage info and military info. I'm told he was in both the army and the navy. He changed his name to Louis Walter Dunn at some point in his life. I'd also love to find some info about his parents, Walter Dumblauskas and Mary Jurgal (sp?) both from Lithuania. Does anyone have any tips?

Yes he is a relative. He is the brother of Louis. I did see a military record for him on ancestry.com. did you find this info somewhere else? Knowing where you found it could help me find more. Thanks again!

Genevievesmom, WOW. That's a great answer. I think I didn't give enough details though. I know his DOB is correct, but that he lied to get into the military. Since he lied about his DOB, it really makes searching for him more difficult. Walter V. was another brother of his according to the 1920 census. Mary did not come here with her husband. She met him here I believe. He was married to someone else first. He had Peter and Anni with his 1st wife and the other children with Mary. Louis doesn't have a listing in the gravesite database because 1. no one told the military he died and 2. he doesn't have a gravesite. He was cremated and his ashes were released into the ocean at his request. He also did not have a will. All of his possessions were destroyed at the request of his ex-wife after his death. The only instructions the funeral home was given about him was to cremate and send the ashes. I don't believe anyone paid for an obit either. Thank you so much for your tips!
