Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: Well, on ancestry.com they mention Aspinwall, Panama, as an origin, but I think it is not based on many people at all.

It looks like there are a lot of Roseways who left from Havana, Cuba; Vera Cruz /Tampico/Progreso, Mexico; Jamaica Ethnicities: the West Indies, Black, British/English, Scandinavian, German, Danish, Greek. Most references seem to be for Black/West Indian/British... maybe this information will make sense to you...

Also, here is a fact on ancestry.com you might not want to hear, if this is your surname... In 1987 the Roseway life expectancy was 68 years vs 73 years for the general public.
