While doing some geneology research I often come across the term 'with issue' What does this mean?


Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: Generally, it means the couple had children-- the compiler just doesn't know how many or what sex. Also sometimes there will be a notation "without issue." That's just so researchers won't be looking for non-existent children.
