i want to trace my family's history to find out wat country our family came from i no my great grandparents on my mother and fathers side and might beable to go back farther but how would i get a start on traceing

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: start with yourself and work backwards. Use birth, death and marriage certificates. Obit and cemetery records are good clues also. I suggest you get the book "unpuzzling your past" by Emily Croom. Its a great book that will take you step by step.
