Question:

I have an aunt in Argentina. I am attempting to locate her but she may be dead. How do I find out/contact her?

She was a holocaust survivor and would be in her early 90's. If not her, I would need to contact her son. I only know his last name.

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: Since you mention she is a Holocaust survivor, I assume she would be Jewish...

So, this is a survey of some research locations in Argentina, seeming to focus on Jewish ancestry/ relatives.
I would also review what www.cyndislist.com shows for Argentina resources.
I can tell you a lot regarding what US research involves, but when talking about another country like Argentina, can't begin to say what their policies are. www.rootsweb.com has mailing lists for nearly every country in the world, where you can network with others looking for the same sources. In some cases, persons who actually live in those areas, are part of the email group... and you might luck out to find someone who will volunteer to help you.
