Where can I locate prisoner information for Sing Sing?

Where can I locate prisoner information for Sing Sing?

Well, I found my skeleton in the closet, when I located my great uncle on the 1930 U.S. Census. At the time he was living at Sing Sing!

I did find a site for an organization in Ossining, NY about a year ago. This site stated they would search for inmates, but nobody ever responded to my query.

Has someone out there had success locating old prisoner info./records in New York State? If so, please give me suggestions on how to go about it.

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: No I have not but I'm thinking. He was an inmate? Without his name & vitals I don't know who how or where to look. I'm also trying to think if NY is a state going for 100 years not 70 for privacy of records.
