Looking for Powell famiily in Wales, originally Cardiganshire?

I am looking for people Powell in Wales, that came from Cardiganshire. Part of the family left on a ship bound for South Africa, anyone have any history of them up until they left? There was a younger and an older man, Benjamin was one of the names. I'll look up the timeframes again, it was during a whole migration to SA.

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: You need to provide more information for this research to work. We need full names, any real dates of birth , death etc. , an idea of when the emigration took place.

I've looked at the 1861 Census of Cardiganshire and there are 153 Powells listed so we need to be able to narrow that down and it is not even certain at all if 1861 is the best time to be looking. Give us some more info in another question and we will be able to give you more help.
