Looking for info on first name: Kingberry?

The name Kingberry, Kingsbury or anything that sounds like it. Sometimes the spellings were phonetical.

I've given up on trying to track down an ancestor of mine Named Kingsberry Johnson.....Johnson is hard enough to track as it is, but an now interested in just finding the origin of this name.

I do know it's a last name combo of Kings and his bride, Berry, which was interesting in itself....anyone?

Earliest it could be a mother's or grandmother's surname, and sometime after the new nation was born it became more common to name a child for someone as an honorific, like George Washington (surname).
