Question:

Looking for a death cert. on a Roger Benter or Bender?

Beaver Dam Wi. Dodge County He would have been around 26 when he died. He died sometime between '70 and '73.
This is my sons father and he was just a baby when his father died so i am trying to find something to show him possibly with a picture. So he can have some kind of closure. I have searched and have not been able to find a death certificate. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: Huh. No SSDI for a 5 year span that state either.

Using wild card ben*r dodge county WI:

Fred Bender 22 May 1883 Apr 1970 Beaver Dam, Dodge, WI
Ewald Benter 24 Jan 1904 Jun 1971 Horicon, Dodge, WI
Alvin Benter 9 Mar 1900 Mar 1973 Juneau, Dodge, WI

Found 2 Rogers who died in WI:

Roger A. Bender 29 Sep 1938 21 May 2005 Tomahawk, Lincoln, WI
Roger L. Bender 26 Mar 1924 Oct 1988 Oshkosh, Winnebago, WI

Suppose his name was Fred Roger Bender? Nah that guy's too old.

Maybe this one:
Roger BENTER Birth: 14 Feb 1949 State Where Number was Issued: Wisconsin Death: Oct 1973

How certain are you that he died? Then, there, or at all?

Anyway what I would do is write, phone or email the library at Beaver Dam and ask if you could find a researcher there to scan the obituaries particularly that Oct 1973 time span for anything on him. Ask what that might cost and even if they don't charge you, send a little something to the library or specify genealogy fund.
