Question:

Are there actually any free sites for tracing friends from the past?

I've been on numerous so called 'free' sites trying to trace an old friend who's full name and last known address i know. I also know his year of birth. They are all the same, you register, then hours later recieve an e-mail telling you they have found that person. Its funny they always seem to find them on the 'Electoral Register' . Thats when they tell you to pay ⣱9.99 or whatever to view the results. What if he's dead. Do they charge to view 'Deaths' s as well. Does anyone know a genuine 100% FREE site to trace someone ?

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: The electoral register and phone book are the only ways open to you. Even if you had access to the NHI or DVLC datbases a person can move and not notify the authorities.
