Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: For a long time I was fascinated by an housing estate that was actually a slum area, and was flattened in 1939, but I didn't know that until about five years ago, When I started doing my family history. I applied for my great grans death certificate and from that I found out that my gran when she married in 1880 had lived there with her new husband, all of their kids were born there and my great grandad died there in 1908. My mum and her siblings had no idea they were associated with the district , they had all died before I discovered the information.
