I am asking this after I saw the answer that Barbera gave to the question about Ellen Newton. I wonder if Lucretia is related some how to them or if not which worden family? Also, are all or most of the Wordens descendants of a Worden family that came to Rhode Island where she was probably born. saw her in the Rose Family Tree. I am descended from their daughter Thankful Reynolds. she married Lawrence Rose. I found the question on Google.

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: There is an extensive family tree for this Worden family in Ancestry.com One World Tree collection (url below goes to the tree, you would need a membership or a free trial membership). Now this tree is sadly lacking in any documentation and therefore you could only use it as a starting point in your investigations but the details seem to match your question quite well.

Nathaniel Worden of Stonington, New London, Connecticut married to Anna Palmeter had a large family the last of whom was Lucretia, in this tree her birth place is New York and abt 1779 rather than your 1772 which only illustrates the difficulty of using family trees as a source of information (documentation would be the only way to determine the issue)

So the family on Rhode Island simply doesn't exisit, it really came out of Connecticut, by the time of Nathaniel's grandfather Issac the family is in Yarmouth Massaschusetts and working back even futher comes out of England.

Lots of places to start with but documentation will be the key.
