Can anyone tell me where the kukuk (kuckuck) family origins are?

Question:

Can anyone tell me where the kukuk (kuckuck) family origins are?

We know they are from germany/poland...but if anyone has the first recorded kuckuck or kukuk in these regions, it would be much appreciated. We are working on the kukuk family tree.

i went back and searched some of you answers on this topic and cyndi's list came up. I will see where that goes. We have a family tree on Ancestry.com, and have the kukuk (kuckuck) pedigree to 1682. we have 85% of the supporting documentation, including birth and death certifiicates, census records, immigration records, baptismal records, land deeds, some contracts, and photo's..which we will scan and post to that site and our new site when we have time. Were just looking beyond what we have already. Thanks for your answers and time.
