Most researchers are careful, in terms of living persons, and protecting possible privacy concerns.
The social security death index should show death listings (it goes back to about 1960), including full death date and zip code for where that person lived. Using that, you should be able to contact the newspaper for the area, to check if there is an obituary, including family members.
