Question:

I want information about albert anshtain?

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: While certainly agreeing that we need more information to give you a decent answer I did do a bit of checking. First when run in Ancestry.com the surname Anshtain comes up with NO hits, the same happens in Familysearch.org. These are the two largest online repositories of records on the web.

I then used a "soundex" version of the search. Soundex is a search method that uses versions of the name that "sound like" the target name and this process can come up with a lot of hits. From that I chose the most likely which was "Anstine" and this is the total result from Familysearch.org:

1. Albert W. Anstine - International Genealogical Index / NA
Gender: Male Birth: 1846 , York, Pennsylvania

2. ALBERT W. ANSTINE - International Genealogical Index / NA
Gender: Male Marriage: 14 DEC 1871 Saint Johns Episcopal Church, York, York, Pennsylvania

3. Albert Franklin Anstine - International Genealogical Index / NA
Gender: Male Birth: 30 JAN 1875 , York, Pennsylvania

4. Albert F. Anstine - International Genealogical Index / NA
Gender: Male Marriage: 24 OCT 1897 Red Lyon, , York, Pennsylvania

There are basically two people Albert F, and Albert W. and again that is all that comes up. We get a few more hits in Ancestry because it is looking at census records as well but still only a total of under 30 hits. I looked at the 1870 census record and the handwriting is dicey, you can see how the indexer came up with "Anstine" but there is enough judgement room to visualize "Anshtin" at least.

As said already, more information including dates of events, and places is needed to really be of much help.
