Mexican-American War?

Can anyone give a place foe online records for the mexican American, such as casualty lists,. I've found my ancestors land grant for his serivce Moses G. Mitchell,land grant in Miami county,Ohio died before he could process claim to it. have a death date 3 september 1846 some say camargo,mexico some say he was wounded and returned home to miami co,ohio and later died. I've done Civil War research but I'm just now starting the Mexican-American War research would love and pointers and help in tyring to better understand research into records for the Mexican-American War.

The hard part is that since your ancestor died so young, he won't have the wonderful pension records that tell us more about him.
