Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: ONE of my first stops is always rootsweb.com- there are over 500 entries with the name in the family files. I can't verify the accuracy of these. Some are in the US, other entries go back into Germany.
All the files will have a submitter name and normally email address that you can reach them.
Tip- use advanced search for the family files, use the surname and a locality to narrow down someone who may be closely connected. Run AGAIN with no locality, and name of an ancestor (many submitters don't bother with locality).
