If you have visited ancestry.com and you didn't find what you're looking for, you should retrace your steps. Talk to family members and find out if they have any personal records stashed away in their attic or basement. That is usually the best place to start genealogy research. The internet is a wonderful tool but it is not your only tool. You should go to your local library and check out books on genealogy research.
