Question:

Who are the Draviadians of India?

Alright so this is an interesting question I have. I think India is a beautiful country rich in culture with so many beautiful people. I have many Indian friends and they all are really cool. My question is really weird but here it goes: why are Indians really dark skinned? I have done research on India so I know there are varying degrees of darkness (many people in North India almost look Persian because they have so much indo-european blood). Those who are really dark have more Dravidian blood. Who were the Dravidians? why are they so dark skinned? being dark skinned doesn't make them ugly or anything I just want to know why they have that bronze skin tone color. What racial category do Dravidians fall under? You have to really be into history and geneaology to know the answer. Let me know! I am eager to know!

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: One theory goes they were the original inhabitants of the Indus river valley and were pushed "down" into S. India by the Persian invaders. If I were you I wouldn't start race discussions here. Or anywhere. Race is an outdated concept. You ought to know that.
