Question:

Could someone help me find my grandmother's family in New Madrid, MO. Her name was Fannie Mae Tyler.?

Could someone help me find my grandmother's family in New Madrid, MO. Her name was Fannie Mae Tyler. She married or maybe not, to a man named Willie Lee Houston. They had a son named William Lee Houston, my dad. She left New Madrid in the late 40's and moved to Dayton, Ohio. She had a sister named Hazel. I trying find out because my brother and I have some heart problems and we want to see if it's hereditary.

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: Fannie M Tyler born about 1916 lived 1920 and 1930 with her widowed grandmother Susan Johnson at New Madrid, all others are born MO. She had an older sister Audrey born about 1914 on 1920 census. Susan's daughter Priscilla born about 1898 lives with her mother, but it is not indicated if she is the children's mother or aunt. I don't know if it's the same child as on 1920, but on 1930 (no number, on Kentucky Ave) Audrey is now granddaughter Hazel born 1914.

Susan (abt 1853 MS) and Lewis (b Dec 1847 KY) Johnson (he was a logger) had many other children, 16 but only 9 were living 1910. Joe Mar1882, Nora May1887, Sillia Apr1888, Lawson Jun1896, twins Yource/Urce (female) and Myra Priscilla abt Jul1898. Sillia may be Priscilla.

Louis stated he'd only married once but this could be him:
1880 Hannibal, Marion, Missouri
Film Number T9-0702 Page Number 287C
JOHNSON Lewis 36 B laborer MO KY KY
Lizzie 28 B MO KY KY
John L 14 B MO

Or you know what, this could be them:
1880 New Madrid, New Madrid, Missouri
Film Number T9-0705 Page Number 340A
EDMON Louis 23 B farmer KY KY KY
Susan 22 B MS MS MS
Fannie 8 MU, William 5 B, Albert 2, MO

Hope you find something you can use in all that. There do seem to be other lines you can work.
