Looking for great-grandfather came from Italy to port of Philly in 1910 having a difficult time please help?

I could really use some help and direction in locating my great-grandfather, who immigrated to America in 1910. I have done all the research imaginable ancestory.com amongst many many other devoted websites. I did find a Ship passenger list with his name on it, from Naples to Port of Philadelphia in 1910 on the SS Ancona and also a border crossing list from 1913 apparently trying to enter the US from Canada but the trail runs cold at this point. I can't find this person on any census I also do know he died around 1955-9 and lived on Torresdale, PA around that time. I have been investigating this on and off for over 15 years...if you can help me please sendme your suggestions. Thanks in Advance

Thanks for the input GrannyToad actually that is him...You have accomplished more in this post then I have in 15 years! He was born in 1886, and the alternative name I have found and confirmed with my mother is Grandinetto there could be others. He was certainly born in Aiello, Cosenza as was my Grandfather Francesco Grandinetti, Who passed away in 2002 at the age of 94 (Bruno's son) in Toronto, Canada. I'm researching my great-grandfather for genealogical reasons, to find out more about this man and what became of him as he has become somewhat of a myth as to what happened to him; would like to find out about descendents as well as a grave site. My grandfather never knew his father, and it would be personally satisfying to know that I found him in some way. I live in Toronto, Canada so a trip to the National archives in Washington DC is not in the cards for the immediate future.

Bruno James and Vincenzo are viable names that he might have assumed and for last name Grandinetti, Grandinetto. Grandinetto is thesurname used in passnger list as well as border crossing docs.
