Are punjabi people mixed?

i heard that they were mixed with other ethnicities like persian, caucasion, and turkish a long time ago. is this true?

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: This is almost no scientific evidence for race. Culturally however, the Punjabi are a mix of Indo-Aryan ethnicity (thanks wikipedia). The basis for their identity is ethnic and linguistic, their language being also called "Punjabi".
