How do you find an old phonebook from 1963/64?

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: Sometimes what you may want is a City Directory in preference to a plain old phone book. Sometimes libraries have them, more likely main libraries in the locality you're interested in. City Directories give a lot more information than an alpha listing in a phone book, they also list by street address, often who else lives there, rent or own, where someone is employed, who are the neighbors &c. See what I mean?
