i've tried to find his informaion on several sites . and the furthest i can research is that he was born in poland in 1870(est.) and came to america , Via Antwerp , with my Grandmother and 2 of my father's older siblings . Wich i allready know from my oldest aunt .

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: The simple answer is that the answers you seek aren't on any sites.

You will have to discover where in Poland your grandmother was from, when she was born, when she came to the U.S., etc. If she was naturalized (became a citizen), that would be a good place to start. Her death certificate, or the birth certificates of her children, might also have the information.

If she came to Ellis Island, you can check Ellis Island records on-line - her approx. date of birth and (perhaps) former residence in Poland might be listed.

It's a common, but very wrong, belief that everything you need is on the internet. While the amount of data is vast, it's very rarely just handed to you on a silver platter.
