How do i find information on someone who was posted in army overseas sixty plus years ago?

all i have is a name...number...address last stationed here from 1963......any information would really help....thanks

try going to this link:
http://aad.archives.gov/aad/

It should take you to the National Archives and Records Administration where you can search through various databases of POWs / MIAs/ injured in action, etc for various time periods..

Depending on what info you have and manage to find by searching NARA, you may get enough info to use the following link:

http://www.archives.gov/veterans/militar...

This is to actually obtain other records.
