Question:

Where is the place "KIRMINGHEAD" which appears in the 1901 Census?

A distant cousin Emma ALLEN & her husband Davis (sic) W ALLEN lived at Eat Teignmouth at the 19o1 Census. Also there were four youngsters, Reginald, Douglas, Edith A & Hilda ALLEN aged 7, 10 15 & 18, all born at "Kirminghead" - were they kinsfolk? I cannot find their births in FreeBMD . . . . which is maddening!

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: According to ancestry.co.uk, the four children were born at Kirmington in Lincolnshire.

They are listed as the children of Emma and Davis.

Davis's occupation is shown as Commercial Traveller. He was born in Cambridge.

Emma was born in Huntingdon.

Hope this helps.
