How to find the dead?

My neighbor seems to have someone's grave in her backyard. It has the date 5/29/1644 on it. It only has a first name, no last name. How would we go about finding out who it was and/or how they died? Is there a website that would have such a history?

I want to respect the privacy of my neighbor and the grave so I didn't give that info. I can tell you we're in Central New York. But the name will remain private. Thank you for all of your input though! I really appreciate it. I tried that website, but I had no luck finding any information. Thanks again!

If anyone else has anything to add please don't hesitate. We're really curious about it. My neighbor has been taking good care of it. I wonder if the person played a part in our history.
