I'm trying to find some information on a family member who died on the River Thames in the 1980's, any ideas?

One of my dads uncles died whilst trying to save a baby that had fallen overboard on the river Thames in the 1980's. His name was Tony Reynolds but this is all the information I have and I can't seem to find any sites which are very helpful, any ideas?
