Question:

How can I locate which cemetery some of my ancesters are buried in?

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: The interment websites like Find a grave and the others are a good start, but they do not have everyones burial, in fact they aren't even close. To find out which cemetery they are in, you have a couple of options. You could order a death certificate, which will require some out of pocket expense. the death certificate will tell whether they were buried or cremated and where they were interred. Another option that is available is ordering their obituary. Many obituaries will have the funeral and burial arrangements in them. One more option would require you to know which funeral home handled the arrangements. If you know, you can contact them and they can look up where your relative is buried. So, as you can see, there are several ways to arrive at the same information. You can also go to the county's genweb page and see if there are any cemetery transcriptions for the town in which your ancestors lived.
