I am trying to find out any info on my ancestors. The surname that I'm very interested in KEARLEY, what country did the Kearley name come from ?

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: First of all when you start genealogy don't go by what a book says is the origin of a surname. Start by talking to your Family get birth certificates, death certificates, marriage records, military records, census reports, funeral records, cemetery listings. And then start to piece together your family history. My last name is Mitchell but it certianly doesn't fit to the description some surname book says is the origin of the name Mitchell. Start with what you know then work backwards towards the country of origin. I'll give you a link but its doesn't mean you are of this origin. Good luck in your research.
