I am needing to view Potts family memiors from Potts grove manor. John Potts was my 8 great granfather???

John Potts was my great (8 times) granfather. He founded Pottstown Pennsylvania and built Potts grove manor which his son Thomas inherited in 1768. I was there once when I was 14 with my family. My father has done all of the research on our family and I want to do more. Our names are in the Potts family memiors book at the manor. I want to find more info regarding this and I'm not coming up with what I need. With as much history as my family has I want to do a complete family tree and I would like to know how to go about it. I have tried all the geneology sites and they haven't been much help. I don't really know how to use their site.
