How do you know if your italian?

I believe i might have some italian or sicilian in me, but i have no real way to know. I cant get no real answer from my dad, and still havent heard from my grandparents. My mom doesnt know what she is, and her parents are dead. I have dark brown hair, dark brown eyes, but im real light skin. Maybe thats because i really never go out and plus i live up north. But i feel im italian but my feelings are some of the time not right, so i need so answers please. And ask if you would like to see a photo of me, and see for yourself. And it would really help if some italians themselves could answer, but its alright for all. Thank you.
