Looking for correct Civil War record, Union Army, Missouri?

There are two men named Peter Flynn, both were mustered in on the same day, same location. I want to order records of MY ancestor. Does anybody know how I can find out which record to order without paying for both? Correct man's wife would be Sarah.

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: Do you have a Regiment or Company that he served with in the Union Army? I found a Peter Flynn civil war application for missouri but no wife is listed.

You may have to order both I had to order three on my great,great grandfather one was the right one two were not it cost but its worth it.
