Question:

Need help locating missing family?

Am trying to find any of the grandchildren living of Samuel and Annie Mark who lived in Ironwood Mich. & died in the 40's. Samuel was my great grandmas brother! He owned the Michigan Scrap Iron Co. there from the 1898 area til, 1940's.Their children were; Hyman M. wife: Betty, and Ben Mark that also lived in Hurley, Dr. Louis & Harry of Columbus, Ohio, Mrs. Albert Mark of Ironwood, Mrs. E. Juster of Minneapolis. Theres tons of Mark names at sites but we do not know who is related and the children and grandchildren of above and where they are. Son Hyman died 1961, his wife Betty 1986. I have contacted the funeral home and they dont answer. Maybe some geneologists can help us find family living. Thank you! Samuels obituary. in 1940 shows he had 16 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: If your MARK family is Jewish and you have not entered your surnames on the JewishGen "Family Finder" at: http://www.jewishgen.org , you definitely should do so. In fact when you go there, you might find that some family members are researching this branch already.

You most likely will need to get a researcher number and password, but it is free and more than worthwhile.

This site has a variety of discussion groups where questions may be posed and an online Family of the Jewish People - who knows you may find your family there already?

Of course, this assumes that there is a Jewish link w/in your family. I could be totally off-base, but some of the given names you mentioned in your query moved me in that direction.

Good luck on your search....:-)
