Question:

Any one know how I can find german grandfather?

HIS NAME WAS KLAUS KUHL. His first wife died when she was in her 30s of a heart attack. His second wife took every dime he had.
He served in WW2 on the front lines. Anyone help?

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: I did some quick searches for you, but don't know if I have the right names/spellings. Both listings below were found at :
www.kindredkonnections.com (costs $7 for 10 days of searching)--(1) surname KUHL was listed as being married to ELFRIEDE RIX (no dates were given); and (2) CLAUS KUHL was married to ANNA KROHN (no dates given). There are any number of genealogy sites on the internet, and most do not cost any money to search. Some of these are : www.rootsweb.com; www.cyndislist.com; www.familysearch.org ; www.genealogy.com; and www.gencircles.com. Also, www. genforum.genealogy.com is a message board where you can post a message about relatives/ancestors to see if anyone has further info. Do you know if your grandfather maybe changed the spelling of his name?? I once traced the family tree of a friend and got it back to his 14th great-grandfather in Germany and when the family moved from Europe to the US, they changed the family name from SCHWENK to SWANK, so it would sound more "American."
