Looking for obit on a Greg Curry b in 1960's died in 5th grade mid 1970's, Columbus, Indiana.?

We weren't allowed to grieve at school over this, or read in the paper the details. We were shielded from this. Now I'm headed to my 50's I want to know more about this tradegy. I heard it had something to do with a gun, but I was told later it wasn't.
