Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: Yes. Try Rootsweb.com or simply Google the surname. The LDS organization has thousands of surname genealogies posted by anyone who wants to post the information.

And, FamilyTreeMaker provides thousands of sites for surnames that have been researched by genealogists using their software. I have two such sites myself that contain 14,000 descendants of two Revolutionary War Patriots.
