Wow! Lots of ideas! These letters were found about 5 years ago, in Ardmore OK. I am currently living in NM. I can scan the letters and email them if anyone thinks they can help. I just have not had the time to do anything, but have carried them around with me, cause I know there is someone out there who would probably cherish them. My email address is open now. Thanks for all of your responses!

here are some of the details of the letters:
letter 1 has an envelope postmarked Dec. 16, 1933 Potter Arkansas and addressed to Miss Emma Brice, Hatfield Arkansas
The only names he mentions are Vera. He and Emma are going to write Vera a letter. Something happened Sat. nite that he is worried Emma will find out about. He is asking if her mother is still mad at him. Today he is helping to build a log house. He talks about their "promises" on the picture frame.

Letter 2 "Dewey Oklahoma, Sat, Noon"
Mentions visin with the Robertson family and a picture he sent to Emma that was a group picture he cut himself out of. He confesses that the Robertsons have a daughter (about 18) and he denies courting her. He mentions Hatfield missing all the rains, and Potter people living good. He mentions his friend Kinney. He hopes to be home for the Hatfield Fair. He intends for her to get this letter after church services Sunday.

letter 2 cont.
He is jealous of "Dorman" because he gets to hug her, and he knows that she thinks of Dorman like he thinks of Sarah Lou, his little sister. Sarah is blonde, and his favorite of all of his brothers and sisters.

Letter 3 "Ponca City OK, Feb 28, 1934"
Whe he got up there, he had alot of clean up to do. Mentions helping Mrs. Wise churn butter, and her daughter, Jean-Emma Wise having such a pretty name. He talks about Kenny Joplin living in Ponca with his brother at 505 South 8th Street

Letter 4 "Three Sands, OK, Feb 22, 1934"
interesting quote" Everyone is so so nice to us. We don't have to walk anywhere hardly. They come after us and take us any place we want to go. The Postmaster writes items for the newspaper and has been giving us some publicity, which we like."

I am sure these letters are not in chronological order, they aren't all dated. Have fun! Wish I had the time to do more!
