How do I find a Cemetery plot I and my husband purchased in Virginia?

we bought these plots years ago and i lost the paperwork. All I know is that they were purchased in or around the 70's.

Pick up the phone, call the sexton's office and see if they have the records of your purchase. The funeral/cemetery industry is extremely well regulated. The amount of paperwork they're required to keep today is mind-numbing. Whomever sold you the plots filed a lot of paperwork. Now it's just a matter of calling them all til you find the right center.
