Question:

My name stinks.?

I wish I had a generic name, something normal that ppl could pronounce!!! I'm biracial, Filipino and Cherokee indian. My name is Liwhin Noemi (not tellin last name). Liwhin is pronounced like Leah-win. Noemi is like No-E-me. Is it cute?

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: Honey, be glad you weren't my mother's daughter. She wanted to name me Penelope Jane. God bless my father for stepping in and stopping her.

What's sad...but true... is that parents spend MONTHS looking for just the perfect name for our kids...and regardless of how beautiful the name, every kid becomes a teenager and hates his/her name. I have 5 kids...my husband has 4...and out of 9 kids only one thought his name was awesome when he was a teenager, Omri, and one found a nickname for her given name, Genevieve, that she thought was really cool.

Really sad is that the ones with the really cool names want to gangsterize them because the names are "too white". A mother simply can't win. But that also doesn't mean I was ever going to name Stephen "Ice T".

Your name is much more beautiful than you'll realize in the next 10 years. Your parents lovingly bestowed it on you with every hope that you would find its beauty and live up to that. If you're that insecure about such a beautiful name, call yourself Li and let everyone think you're a Chinese princess.
