Question:

Typical Japanese names in 1500s?

(IF YOU CAN'T BE BOTHERED TO READ ALL THIS GO RIGHT DOWN TO THE BOTTOM PARAGRAPH) Alright, I'm doing a little research (NOT FOR SCHOOL) and I thought I'd go out of my way and find out some Japanese names from1300-1550s from Japan. Some of you may guess what year this is, and why I'm researching it. Basically I would like some female and male names. I heard it wasn't uncommon for someone to have over 10 names and that there was no surnames at that time. I would like a wide range of names that sound nice and have nice meanings (translations please) any websites will be accepted. Unfortunately, even through my research I couldn't find anything...Also if someone could explain the name system then, as now in Japan you have your surname before your given name correct? Anyway some cultural things about Japanese names from 1300-1550.
(To those who couldn't be bothered to read) looking for Japanese names from 1300-1550, they should sound nice, male+female, have nice meanings and translation

Also if you have any cultural information from those dates above please could you post them here? Anything would do, from politics to fruit picking. Doesn't only have to be about Japan...

Yeah what I say is nice may not be nice to you, but I just mean names without rude meanings or that sound quite close to rude Japenese words... thanks all
