I can think of 2 places that you can check out these names. One is the family files at rootsweb.com. USE the advanced search option for the name and put yorkshire in the born or died box. The 2nd place is www.genforum.com. Most surnames have their own section, and again, there is a search box that you can use.
A good proportion of people stopping here at yahoo genealogy, are just starting on research, or just interested in a coat of arms. Your odds of running into a real relative here are very low. Specific questions about a person (with a place and time frame) can get you great results from those who know the places to hunt.
