Question:

I got box made by my great grandfather now I'm asking about a symbol on the box?

now the first symbol is a freemason symbol(or knights templar) which my great grandfather was. the first symbol is a yellow or gold(might have faded over time) cross on a red shield which is what told me he was a freemason of which now the other symbol is the one I want to know about its a yellow or gold(color might have faded over time) shield the symbol has two yellow lines through it the bottom almost looks like a bell if you look close but it makes an M shape at the bottom except the sides don't come all the way to match the middle point the yellow line cut the middle of the M point out and seprates so it appears as a yellow upside down V cuting into the "bell" at the top of the "bell" there is another upside down V seperating the symbol at the middle which makes the bell appear to have a house roof then the top rests on the "roof" an it curves into a spiral with the end the sprial being on the left and pointing up What does the symbol mean my mom says it could be the family crest

I'd never sell it but it is nicly crafted and at least 40 years old or more its hand made I already tried talking to the mason over the internet and I found the master temple for the area I live and the lower temple to I will go there after a time but right now its not that important to me

thats why its got more than a two line description and the color doesn't always have to be red for the cross and white for the shield in this case the cross was yellow and the shield was red which I know what the colors mean and why they are colored that way
