ancestral line is not actually related to you because you've had some mischievous women in your tree who had it away with someone else than their husbands?

When you are talking of.....there wasn't any such thing as birth control. So, I would say that they would be related to you. Chikldbirth was dnagerous back then, but there was little that women could do to prevent getting pregnant.
Men however...didn't have such restrictions.
