Any one been invoiced on here for genealogy help, when you thought it was free. I need help but am not able?

to pay the over the top prices these genealogist companys charge.

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: I am not a qualified genealogist, I just love the subject. If some one asks for my help I make it quite clear that I do not ask for any payment what so ever. If I print information off for someone I post it to them by Royal Mail, completely free to them, or I send links to them via email. Some one has not been honest and up front with you and I don't think they can bill you without making it completely clear at the beginning of the search. I would offer them a minimum amount certainly not the full payment, if they don't accept the minimal amount then don't give them anything.
