We know what it was changed too but we don't know that date or any other information. Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: Name "changes" are a tricky topic, Joanna. Today we are standardized and computerized, and normally know what is accepted as the "correct" spelling. That hasn't always been the case. When searching old records, you will often find the same person with 3 different spellings. Very seldom will you find that a person deliberately or knowingly changed the name. Can you post the person, and an estimated date and place? We have many good researchers here, and someone might have a solution for you. |
