Position:Home>Genealogy> Ever thought about your ancestors?

Question:

Ever thought about your ancestors?

I mean, its kinda funky if you think about it.
Who knows if down the line somewhere your great great great great grandfather was adopted into a family, there for you really think that you are a 'Palmer' or whatever your sir name is.. even though you're really a 'Smith'. knowwhat I mean?
Or have you ever thought about what your ancestors had to go through in the middle ages and stuff?.. were they rich? were they slaves, poor..? What wars did they take part in? what did they think?how did they live? who were they!?
Cool huh?.. I mean, all I can say about my fam is..
My dads moms dad was some prince of some sort down the line. My paternal great grandfather on the other hand was a Land owner or something like that.
My maternal great grandmother has some royal title like 'Von Brandenstein', germanic rich people. My paternal great grandfather came from a rich decent as well.
So yeah,.. just thought I'd ask you guys how much you know about this stuff.
Peace.

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: You know, when you do genealogy, you tend to think of them a whole lot. Sometimes if I'm awake in the middle of the night, I turn my thoughts to genealogy. I often wonder if they would be proud of the family that grew out of their love for one another. I wonder what they did for fun. I wonder what their favorite recipes were. I wonder about what kind of stresses they were under. The questions never end. It seems like for every question I get answered, I have two more. Ha! Ha!

That is the beauty of genealogy.
