Italy and Sicily are just across the Mediterranean Sea from Africa so there has been movement of people since the B.C Era. The conquest of parts of Europe, especially Spain, by the Moors facilitated this movement.. Yes, there is some African blood in the people of Sicily, Spain, Italy and many other countries around that area. It may not be very strong now but if Sicilians intermarry a lot, it will remain. |
