Question:

Last name ethnicity???

Can anyone tell me the ethnicity of the surname "Currelley" and "Barron"

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: No.
Any number of persons can have a name... and it proves nothing about their ethnic background. The best example is to look at millions of African Americans, whose names originated after the Civil War. Not a political statement... just a reality.
Imagine a woman, who was born in France, and whose ancestors for thousands of years, lived there. She marries a dashing soldier from England. Her children will carry an "English " name, but their ethnic heritage is both.
The only valid and reliable way in determining ethnic heritage is to sit down and research a person, not a name. Currelley might be a name that evolved from another spelling entirely.
