Hey Yall,

I was just wondering if anyone had any ideas on where I could start my search. The person I'm looking for is my great-grandfather's younger brother. I have very little information on him. I do know that he died in WWI... should I start my search by sending an email to the British Military?

I think it is a disgrace that http://www.ancestry.com charges people for this information.
It's almost as if they hold a monopoly on finding this information.
